Job Title: Sales Operations Data Analyst

Location: 100% remote - PST hours required

Rate: $67-$70/ hour

Duration: Full 18 months anticipated


The Sales Operations Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in enabling strategic decision-making across a global sales organization. This role is responsible for managing client segmentation, seller prioritization, and quota setting processes. The analyst collaborates closely with finance and engineering teams to ensure accurate data flows into compensation systems, supports global seller data consolidation, and drives operational efficiency through scalable tooling and reporting.


Typical Day in the Role

  • Begin with reviewing and validating global seller data for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to align on quota and compensation processes.
  • Extract and analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Update and enhance reporting dashboards to support business decisions.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather feedback and advocate for tooling improvements.
  • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and ensure seamless data integration across systems.


Key Responsibilities

Client Segmentation & Quota Management

  • Manage and analyze client segmentation and seller prioritization data every fiscal half.
  • Collaborate with finance to set and validate seller targets and quotas.
  • Ensure accurate data uploads for compensation processes.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Extract and analyze data from multiple repositories to identify trends and performance insights.
  • Enhance reporting suites to enable partner teams to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and quality control, especially for quota and target calculations.

Tooling & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a technical thought partner during feature development cycles with engineering teams.
  • Gather and respond to stakeholder feedback to improve tooling and reporting capabilities.
  • Advocate for end-user needs and drive improvements in scaled reporting systems.

Operational Excellence

  • Support global seller data consolidation efforts.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and ensure integrity across systems.
  • Drive operational efficiencies through automation and process optimization.


Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5–7 years of experience in data analysis, sales operations, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL and Power BI.
  • 5–7 years of advanced Excel experience, including template creation and global data management.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control in handling sensitive data.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to pass technical assessments if required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).
  • Proven ability to gather and synthesize requirements for rapid product development.
  • Experience in sales, quota, or compensation-related operations.
  • Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders using data-driven insights.
