We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Analyst to join our team in Andover, MA. In this role, you will create, analyze, maintain, and present comprehensive real-time industry dashboards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights. Your responsibilities include performing data analysis, creating reports and dashboards, and presenting findings to management. To succeed in this role, you should possess strong analytical skills, experience with data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL, and excellent communication skills. A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science) is preferred.


Salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and education. This role is onsite in Andover, MA—no remote options.


Objectives of this role

  • Collect key point indicators/industry metrics
  • Identify actionable trends
  • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Work directly with managers and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
  • Present findings to senior leadership
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Requirements


  • Three or more years of experience mining data as a data analyst, preferably in a financial setting
  • Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Strong SQL or Excel skills, with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools
  • Knowledge of the FDCPA and other third-party debt collection laws
  • Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
  • Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
  • Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule 
  • Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence


Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics
  • Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques, preferably within a financial background
  • Strong programming experience with frameworks, including XML, JavaScript, and ETL
  • Knowledge of the FDCPA and other third-party debt collection laws
  • Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS
  • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
