Training Manager I
Step up your career with DCFS by applying to become a Training Manager I! The Utah Division of Child & Family Services (DCFS) is seeking a highly motivated competent individual to fill their Training Manager I position for the State Office.
Starting pay: $31.80As a Training Manager I with the (DCFS) state office you will be actively engaged in curriculum design and delivery, the implementation of statewide training initiatives, the advancement of simulated training scenarios, as well as the continuous improvement of the DCFS Practice Model. You will participate on multiple teams which requires strong collaboration skills in tandem with conference planning skills. This position reports to the Training Coordinator for DCFS.
ResponsibilitiesPreference may be given to candidates who have:
4 or more years of professional work experience with DCFS, or similar organization
2 or more years of professional work experience developing and delivering DCFS specific, or similar social work related training
Certification as a CSFR + reviewer
Professional work experience in instructional design, adult learning theory, and/or competency-based learning

Training experience
Managing the operation of a program or function to include the assessment of organizational needs and the measurement and assessment of outcomes
Well-developed writing and presentation skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to interact positively and effectively with staff at all levels of the organization is also required
Implementation of training as a result of program and/or operational changes
Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software
Delivering presentations or training using acceptable methods and techniques
Ability to interact positively and effectively with staff at all levels of the organization in and out of the classroom
Meeting agency objectives and leverage the organizational structure
Supervision skill and experience (performance planning/evaluation, mentoring
Record keeping, data synthesizing, reporting (trend analysis), reporting and making recommendations to various levels of an organization
Principles, theories, and practices of budget management
All DCFS job offers are contingent upon passing a Background Screening Application (BSA).
Frequent travel required. Must have a valid Utah driver's license. This job may require you to use your personal vehicle to perform the duties of this position. All approved mileage driven by using a personal vehicle is reimbursable by State Finance. The reimbursement rate is determined by State Finance.
Must travel to University of Utah for DCFS Practice Model training for multiple days every 4-6 weeks.
