About the Role:
A mission-driven U.S.-based software company is seeking a highly experienced Bookkeeper / SaaS Accountant to take full ownership of its financial operations. You’ll be stepping into a critical role, replacing an outsourced accounting function and becoming the cornerstone of the company’s internal finance operations.
This is more than a typical bookkeeping role — you’ll be deeply involved in managing recurring revenue, supporting SaaS-specific metrics, integrating financial systems, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASC 606. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone with SaaS industry accounting experience and a passion for data accuracy, automation, and growth-stage financial stewardship
Own the full bookkeeping process using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Maxio
Generate and manage customer invoices and recurring billing schedules
Manage accounts payable, T&E, and expense tracking (via tools like Ramp)
Conduct AR follow-ups and liaise directly with customers when necessary
Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue schedules and ensure accurate revenue recognition
Track ARR, MRR, churn, retention, and other SaaS-specific metrics
Organize and maintain financial documentation including contracts, SOWs, and order forms
Handle month-end close, financial reconciliations, and internal reporting
Collaborate on budgets, forecasting, and cash flow projections
Integrate and optimize workflows across systems (QBO, HubSpot, Maxio, RevOps)
Generate dashboards and reports on SaaS KPIs (LTV, CAC, NRR, CAC payback, GM, etc.)
Support board and investor reporting and due diligence with clean, defensible reporting
Requirements:
3–5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS or tech company
Deep knowledge of the U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
Expert in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Experience with Ramp, Maxio, and other modern accounting tools
Comfortable integrating CRMs like HubSpot with financial systems
Highly proficient in Excel, with working knowledge of PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and accuracy under deadlines
Excellent written and spoken English communication
Able to work independently and handle complex workflows in a remote, fast-paced setting
