Sales Professional

 

PURPOSE/GOALS 

This position will be responsible for achieving and exceeding business development, sales, and revenue goals and initiatives within an unrestricted sales environment that includes all industry verticals, US geographic regions, and global locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Perform required sales activity defined by the sales leadership team to meet monthly and annual sales and revenue goals determined by the sales leadership team.
  • Responsible for maintaining existing and growing new revenue via new logo, upsell and cross sell of Skillpath products and services.  Must be able to grow accounts with mid-to-C Suite executives through relationship building, prospecting, L&D knowledge, networking strategies and consultative selling skills.
  • Develops strong product knowledge and application; drives effective solutions for clients while upholding standardized internal business processes and operational standards. 
  • Drives account expansion by prospecting for new and dormant accounts. 
  • Assessments of client business issues and performance gaps, recommendations of appropriate training and development solutions.  
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in virtual/hybrid team environment after developing an account plan with sales management to achieve goals. 
  • Represent SkillPath professionally and independently on sales calls and outside market activities, including virtual meetings, In-person meetings, and occasional travel, as warranted by business needs.  
  • Coordinates and prepares effective and professional presentations, written and verbal communications, and business issue-based proposal writing, which are aligned with client issues and performance needs.  
  • Build credibility for SkillPath Enterprise Solutions by maintaining a client-first responsive mindset.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS 

 Education 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or relevant experience in lieu of degree required. 

Experience 

  • 3-6 years or more of demonstrated business experience in a customer-facing role.

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience in direct sales with clients in a virtual or in-person setting is preferred.
  • Proven ability to prospect, sell, present, communicate and manage a large book of business of approximately $1m in annual revenue.
  • Experience selling into complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with C-Suite executives preferred.
  • Must have experience quickly transitioning into an existing book of current business with continued revenue growth and account management.
  • Competencies must be demonstrated with a proven track record in obtaining new business, team skills, application of knowledge relative to training and development, interdepartmental cohesive behavior, and strategic client development required to drive continued sales and revenue.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours from time to time as market and client needs dictate.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with clients and internal team members. 
  • Proven self-starter who can work as a collaborative team member and independent salesperson. This includes being able to work remotely and staying self-disciplined and self-motivated. 
  • Ability to lead effective, efficient, virtual, and in-person customer meetings and calls.
  • Proven success in solution sales is required. 

 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver a strategic business development plan.  
  • Existing contacts in geographic areas, markets, or verticals highly desired. 
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com, Sales Intel, and MS Office. 
  • Travel in accordance with business needs.
  • Account management, product knowledge and application, networking, and prospecting skills.  

 

Physical Requirements 

Annual travel required. Ability to attend in-person client meetings locally is required.

This role requires the ability to communicate, stand, walk, lift up to 25lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
