Position Summary

We are actively seeking a DME Data Entry & Billing Specialist with proven experience using Brightree. This role requires accurate and timely data entry, billing, and claims processing. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in DME billing guidelines, payer-specific requirements, and has a strong understanding of Brightree software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and verify patient demographics, insurance, and order details in Brightree
  • Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims
  • Process denials and rejections, resolving billing issues in a timely manner
  • Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing guidelines
  • Communicate with internal teams, patients, and payers as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations
  • Learn retail pharmacy data entry and provide remote support as DME role allows.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 2+ years of DME billing experience
  • strong proficiency with Brightree (required)
  • Solid understanding of DME billing, coding, and insurance processes
  • Knowledge of HCPCS codes and DME compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with prior authorization and CMN documentation processes
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret clinical documentation and payer requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems
  • Experience navigating multiple EMRs is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Team-oriented, with a proactive and collaborative approach
  • High-speed internet and a secure, quiet home office setup

Preferred Qualifications

· Prior experience in DME, home health, pharmacy, or medical billing is preferred

Work Schedule

· Job Type: Full-Time

· Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM; Saturday 8:30 AM-1:00 PM
