The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the QBO (QuickBooks Online) day-to-day bookkeeping needs and a variety of financial administrative tasks crucial to providing support for the accounting function and business, including tasks such as keeping financial records, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The Accounting Associate will be reconciling data, drafting financial documents and preparing reports specifically working in QBO.

Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist to maintain and update financial records and ledgers in accordance with accounting principles.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow, investigating discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing financial data and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist in the implementation of accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Provide support to the senior accounting staff and participate in special projects as assigned.
- Providing commission accrual support
- Ensure reconciliation of GL accounts
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate in a professional manner
- Other project base work driven by seasonality of accounting function
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent.
- At least 0-2+ years of experience working with the QBO vs. QB Enterprise
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization
- Able to handle changing priorities and use good judgement in stressful situations.
- Self-starter, ability to stay positive under pressure.
- Able to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent.
- Experience with any ERP and Financial Reporting software
