Job Summary: The Promotional Marketing Specialist executes promotional campaigns and events that drive customer engagement and sales for Mattress Firm. This role manages promotional activities while collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure accurate and impactful marketing materials. Success is measured by the ability to optimize promotions through data insights and support seamless execution across stores and marketing channels.
Essential Responsibilities
- Build and maintain promotional event decks & recaps for cross functional team members and vendor partners.
- Develop disclaimer copy for each promotion in partnership with legal.
- Proof all promo-related marketing assets to ensure accuracy and customer comprehension.
- Request promo codes as needed and maintain a tracking document with results.
- In partnership with supervisor, collaborate with Store Operations, Learning & Development and Store Execution teams to produce and proof collateral needed to educate our fleet of stores on upcoming events and promotions.
- Monitor and report on weekly competitive activity.
- Manage promotional offers within affiliate channel and field social selling posts.
- Partner with Financing & Leasing vendors to execute offers and cross-promote on vendor channels.
- Facilitate change management as needed when there are updates to promotional details.
- Coordinate post-mortem recaps & meetings across cross functional partners.
- Attend meetings as needed and field promo related questions from various stakeholders through email, Teams, etc.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
- Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
- Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and Company operations.
- Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
- Performs related duties as required to meet the needs of the department.
Non-Essential Responsibilities
- Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, related field, and/or equivalent experience required.
Professional Experience
- 1+ Years Marketing experience and/or 3+ years mattress field sales experience preferred.
- 1+ Years Retail & Promotional Marketing preferred.
