Your Role: As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating underwriting guidelines, analyzing competitor products and supporting the rollout of new product offerings. This role will also work to ensure our products stay competitive and compliant. The position will provide support to the Exception & Scenario and Credit Team and the Secondary Department as needed. This role will report to the Senior Transaction Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update underwriting guidelines across all origination channels, including proprietary products and investor programs
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of updated guidelines, checklists, and related materials to internal teams and product pricing engines
- Manage new product and investor rollouts in collaboration with Compliance, Underwriting, Secondary, Closing, and Training teams
- Support training efforts with clear materials for Sales and Operations
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify gaps and recommend enhancements
- Coordinate guideline revisions with internal teams and maintain internal databases
- Support the Exception & Scenario team on loan-specific questions
- Assist with guideline analysis for bulk bidding and investor comparisons
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Ad hoc responsibilities as determined by management from time to time and in its sole discretion
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related field preferred
- Minimum five years’ work experience either in the lending industry or related field.
- Industry experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and communication (written/oral) skills
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change
- Strong attention to detail
- Proximity to Stamford (CT) or Irvine (CA) for occasional travel to the office preferred

The salary range for this role is $70,000.00 to $90,000.00. Salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, experience and location.
