The Role
We are entering an exciting new phase of our development. We’ve proven that our business model works and our care leads to excellent clinical outcomes. Now we’re looking for a Payroll Accountant (Part-Time) to join our team.
As Payroll Accountant, you will oversee the multiple accounting and finance efforts:
What You’ll Do
- Payroll Processing: Calculating and processing employee wages, including overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions. This includes ensuring accurate calculations for gross pay, net pay, and withholding taxes.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations regarding wages, taxes, and recordkeeping,.
- Tax Management: Preparing and submitting payroll taxes to the relevant authorities, including federal income tax, Social Security, and Medicare. State and local taxes may also apply depending on the location.
- Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records, including employee data, wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Reporting & Reconciliation: Generating various payroll reports for management, auditing purposes, and regulatory agencies.
- Employee Support: Addressing employee inquiries and resolving issues related to payroll and benefits.
- Audit support: Participating in payroll, workers compensation, and other company audits.
- Software Utilization: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Sheets as well as payroll software systems, such as ADP, Rippling QuickBooks, or similar platforms, is crucial for efficiency and accuracy.
Who You Are
- Competency in use of personal computer applications and spreadsheet analysis
- Competency in using Google Sheets & Microsoft Excel Pivot tables, lookup functions and subtotals
- Ability to handle many tasks and projects at one time
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
- Analytical and organizational abilities
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of current Accounting general ledger software
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Can be substituted for an Associates Degree and 5 years of experience or certifications)
- Minimum of three years of technical experience
