We Are Looking For

The Manager, Long Term Agreement is responsible for driving the front-end strategy, planning, and execution of long-term agreements with key suppliers and/or customers. This includes identifying opportunities for LTAs, leading RFx processes, performing cost and risk analysis, and negotiating commercial terms prior to contract award. The role is highly cross-functional and pivotal in enabling supply chain resiliency, pricing stability, and long-term value creation.

 

What You’ll Do 

As a Manager, Long Term Agreement, you’ll be responsible for:   

LTA Strategy & Opportunity Identification

  • Assess business needs, spend patterns, and supplier/customer relationships to identify opportunities for long-term agreements.
  • Partner with sale, supply chain, and operations teams to develop an LTA roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Define sourcing strategies for categories where LTAs can drive competitive advantage, cost savings, and risk mitigation.

RFx Planning & Execution

  • Lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs related to potential LTA engagements.
  • Define scope of work, evaluation criteria, and bid structures to align with long-term partnership goals.
  • Coordinate technical, legal, and commercial inputs from internal stakeholders to build comprehensive bid packages.

Supplier & Customer Engagement

  • Conduct early-stage commercial discussions to assess partner interest and alignment with LTA goals.
  • Act as the main point of contact for pre-award communications, clarifications, and negotiations.
  • Evaluate proposals for price, capability, delivery, terms, and value-added services.

Cost Analysis & Negotiation

  • Perform cost and should-cost analysis to inform negotiation strategy.
  • Develop and execute negotiation plans that balance commercial objectives with supply risk.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing structures, volume commitments, escalation clauses, delivery terms, and other pre-award elements.

Pre-Award Documentation & Handoff

  • Prepare final award recommendation packages, including commercial justification and risk assessments.
  • Draft or coordinate pre-award language and key terms for contract generation.
  • Ensure smooth transition of awarded LTAs to legal, operations, or contract administration teams for post-award execution and tracking.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of sourcing or contracts professionals.
  • Set clear objectives, conduct regular check-ins, and ensure timely and high-quality output.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, providing mentorship and growth opportunities.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA a plus
  • Experience leading pre-award contract management, sourcing, or commercial negotiations, ideally in aerospace, defense, or regulated industries
  • People management or team leadership experience, including performance management and coaching
  • Strong background in RFx processes, supplier engagement, and complex negotiations
  • Skilled in cost and risk analysis, commercial modeling, and stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with ERP and sourcing tools
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

 

Special Requirements: 

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) orasylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required. 
  • ITAR Requirement 
  • 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
