Loop Community is looking for a part-time Licensing Assistant to join our team. As the Licensing Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Licensing with all tasks associated with securing master and publishing licenses in preparation for the marketing and distribution of related tracks on behalf of our label and publishing partners.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Creating songs and album pages, clearing licenses, and posting completed pages to the website to ensure timely and accurate availability of content for customers.
- Maintaining fulfillment of track requests by Loop customers to meet user demand and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Supporting Staff Producers to maintain producer production sheets and track requests.
- Overseeing the producer Slack channel and answering any questions producers have regarding the status of track uploads.
- Assisting with creating new label/publisher partner agreements to expand the company’s network and content offerings.
- Assisting with posting any back catalog content submitted by publishing/label partners to ensure accurate availability of content for customers.
- Securing licensing approvals for free track promotions and scheduling with marketing partners.
- Maintaining a clean and consistent catalog with high data integrity to ensure an organized and accurate catalog.
- Researching song copyrights, publisher ownership, and intellectual property owners.
- Attending virtual and in-person partner and staff meetings to stay aligned with team goals and updates.
- Assisting the Licensing Director with all appointed tasks within the Licensing Department.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
What Makes You Qualified:
- 2+ years of experience in copyright management, publishing, and/or record label admin preferred.
- Strong ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite with a strong working knowledge of Excel. Confident working with and learning new technologies.
