As a frontend engineer on digital applications, you will play a crucial role in crafting exceptional user experiences and implementing cutting-edge frontend solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product Manager, UX/UI Designers, Backend Engineers, and Engineering Manager to transform designs into high-performance, accessible, and scalable web applications. This role requires strong experience in modern frontend development, component architecture, performance optimization, and seamless integration with backend services.
From day 1, you are expected to dive into projects, establish rapport with design and product teams, and begin implementing user interfaces while gaining a thorough understanding of the organization's design systems, frontend standards, and user experience objectives.
Together with Product Manager, UX/UI Designers and Engineering Manager, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional user experiences that meet both business goals and user needs.
Frontend Development:
- Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using modern frontend technologies
- Implement complex UI components and interactive features that enhance user experience
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile-responsive design
Component Architecture&Design Systems:
- Design and develop reusable component libraries following atomic design principles
- Implement and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across applications
- Create scalable frontend architectures using microfrontend patterns when appropriate
Collaboration with Product Manager, UX/UI Designers and Engineering Manager:
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate mockups and wireframes into pixel-perfect, interactive interfaces
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and microservices
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning meetings to provide frontend technical estimation and feasibility input
Performance Optimization:
- Optimize application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, and efficient state management
- Implement performance monitoring and analyze user experience metrics
- Ensure optimal bundle sizes and loading times across different devices and network conditions
- Testing&Quality Assurance:
- Implement comprehensive frontend testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Develop automated visual regression testing and accessibility testing
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance
Frontend Architecture&Azure Integration:
- Design scalable frontend architectures for multi-region deployment on Azure
- Implement frontend applications using Azure Static Web Apps, CDN, and other Azure services
- Configure frontend build and deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps
Code Quality&Best Practices:
- Conduct code reviews focusing on frontend best practices, performance, and accessibility standards
- Implement and enforce frontend coding standards, ESLint rules, and TypeScript configurations
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for components, APIs, and development processes
User Experience&Accessibility:
- Ensure applications meet WCAG accessibility guidelines and provide inclusive user experiences
- Implement responsive design patterns and mobile-first development approaches
- Collaborate with UX researchers to implement user feedback and improve interface usability
General Experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field
- 5+ years in frontend application development
- Proven track record of delivering complex user interfaces and web applications
React&Frontend Expertise
- Expert-level knowledge of React, including hooks, context API, and advanced patterns
- Strong experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with component libraries (Chakra UI, Material-UI, Ant Design, or custom solutions)
- Knowledge of CSS-in-JS solutions and modern CSS frameworks
Frontend Architecture Skills
- Experience with microfrontend architectures and module federation
- Strong understanding of webpack, Vite, or other modern build tools
- Knowledge of atomic design principles and component-driven development
- Experience with design systems and style guides implementation
Testing&Quality
- Proficiency in frontend testing frameworks ( React Testing Library, Playwright)
- Experience with visual regression testing and accessibility testing tools
- Knowledge of performance testing and optimization techniques
Azure&DevOps
- Experience with Azure Static Web Apps, Azure CDN, and frontend deployment strategies
