Purpose:
This role serves Protection & Retirement Distribution through the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions that empower our key stakeholders to drive meaningful business results. This role will report to the Director of Sales Training and work closely with sales leaders, operations partners, and their respective teams.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of sales training, including planning, building, delivering, supporting, and measuring the programs we offer. The ideal candidate will be organized, well-versed in life insurance and annuities, a skillful communicator using considered and appropriate means, and able to convey advanced sales skills and concepts simply and meaningfully, using adult learning practices and visual communication.
The Senior Associate Sales Training plays a strategic role in shaping and delivering high-impact learning experiences that drive sales performance and support enterprise-level initiatives. This role combines deep instructional design expertise with leadership, project management, and stakeholder collaboration to create scalable, innovative, and measurable learning solutions.
Location:
Cincinnati office (Covington, KY) preferred, will consider remote.
Responsibilities:
•Leads the design, development and delivery of learning projects and programs aligned with divisional and enterprise goals.
•Applies adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) to create engaging content using appropriate modalities (eLearning, ILT, etc.), methods, and methodologies.
•Develops and delivers learning solutions that support sales strategies, integrating competitive intelligence, marketing, and adult learning concepts, including but not limited to webinars, digital content, micro-learning, and job aids, and thought documents.
•Supports life insurance and annuities sales training delivery for internal and external wholesalers on product and sales concepts.
•Supports external partnerships through the development and delivery of learning content.
•Own the end-to-end instructional design process for functional and cross-functional projects/workstreams—from needs analysis to evaluation.
•Partners with key stakeholders to identify training needs and develop learning solutions that meet project, functional and/or strategic goals and objectives.
•Collaborates with Distribution Operations partners to proactively identify training needs and opportunities appropriate to varied experience levels.
•Supports project work, strategic projects and partnerships under the direction of Lead Trainers and/or Director of Sales Training.
•Utilizes content delivery systems to ensure timely, consistent, and measurable execution of training.

Qualifications:
•Undergraduate Degree (preferably in a related field such as business administration, human resources, and organization development); Master’s degree preferred. Industry certifications (e.g., CPTD/APTD) desirable.
•5+ years’ experience in the instructional design and delivery, preferably in financial services and/or insurance industry.
•Experience with elearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate)
•Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to deliver to audiences of varying experience and seniority.
•Skilled communicator possessing strong written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent planning, organizing, coordinating, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
•Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM and illustration experience is preferred.
•Experience with learning management systems and technologies is preferred.
•Experience adapting presentations “in real-time” as audience needs dictate (examples – ability to adapt to a shortened time allotment for training, a location change, technology challenges).
