Join a dynamic legal team where your skills in process optimization, compliance coordination, and technology implementation will play a central role in streamlining legal operations. This position offers a collaborative and fast-paced environment, supporting key functions such as contract management, legal technology, and insurance administration. You will work cross-functionally with legal, IT, finance, and compliance teams to improve efficiency and ensure operational excellence. Ideal for someone detail-oriented and proactive, this role combines strategic support with hands-on execution to enhance legal services system-wide.

Accountabilities:

  • Administer and optimize legal technology tools including policy management and contract lifecycle systems, in collaboration with IT.
  • Manage the legal department’s entity management platform, ensuring effective oversight of governance, compliance, and state authorization functions.
  • Handle legal holds, garnishment requests, and the collection of subpoenaed documents.
  • Support legal counsel and finance in managing insurance-related processes such as certificates of insurance, surety bonds, and renewal documentation.
  • Process legal invoices and vendor payments, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Contribute to state authorization and professional licensure compliance efforts.
  • Maintain and update legal department web content to align with brand standards and accuracy.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, calendars, and department events.
  • Serve as a notary public when required.
  • Support other legal and administrative duties as assigned.


Requirements
  • Proven experience in legal operations or a similar administrative/legal support role.
  • Strong understanding of legal technology solutions and workflow automation tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments in a cross-matrixed environment.
  • Experience navigating legal compliance in a higher education or similarly regulated sector is a plus.
  • Comfortable working independently with initiative and sound judgment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and provide hybrid onsite support as needed.
