The Forehand Agency is seeking an Insurance Agent to sell life and health insurance, develop client relationships, and provide consultative guidance to prospects and policyholders. This role emphasizes consultative selling, accurate recordkeeping, and consistent delivery of high-quality customer service within a collaborative small-team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell life and health insurance products using consultative sales techniques within an assigned territory.
  • Identify and develop new business through prospecting, lead follow-up, and referral generation.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and recommend appropriate coverage solutions tailored to client goals.
  • Prepare and present clear proposals that explain policy features, benefits, limitations, and costs.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships through regular follow-up, policy reviews, and service activities.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and ensure timely submission of required paperwork and documentation.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, regulatory requirements, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and participate in incentive programs and performance contests.

Requirements:

  • Current state life and health insurance license, or willingness and ability to obtain and maintain required licensure.
  • Proven sales or client-service experience; prior insurance experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple accounts.
  • Analytical ability to interpret coverage details and underwriting requirements and convey them clearly to clients.
  • Proficiency with basic PC applications and a willingness to learn CRM and other agency software.
  • Professional demeanor and a commitment to delivering a high standard of client service.
