This volunteer role offers an exciting chance to contribute creatively to a dynamic, mission-driven team focused on increasing voter engagement through technology. You will collaborate with writers, editors, and creatives to produce compelling visual content for newsletters, blogs, and digital campaigns. This part-time, remote position is ideal for someone passionate about politics and design, eager to make an impact by supporting civic participation with eye-catching and clear graphics.

Accountabilities

  • Participate in weekly newsletter team meetings to collaborate on editorial planning and brainstorm visual campaign ideas.
  • Design graphics and visual assets for blogs, newsletters, and digital marketing materials that effectively communicate key messages.
  • Maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency in color, typography, and logo usage across all platforms.
  • Adapt designs creatively to suit various audiences while balancing clarity, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Support other volunteers and contribute flexibly in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.


Requirements
  • Experience in graphic design and digital branding.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Availability for at least 2 hours per week during core team hours (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. PT), with ability to overlap one or two hours with Pacific Time.
  • Strong commitment to supporting and strengthening American democracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a remote volunteer team.
  • Currently residing in the United States.
