Business Development Rep Job Description

 

TimeZest
is a scheduling product, designed specifically for a highly technical industry:
IT Managed Service
Providers.
 We enable complex workflows between service providers and end users that save time, improve service efficiency and delight both our customers
and their customers.
 

 

Since launching in August 2019, we’ve grown quickly and are now seeking to continue growing our sales team by adding Business Development Manager.  We’re a remote only company,
currently with 13 people split between Europe, Philippines, and the United States. We have
a relaxed working
environment and
use just enough process to keep ourselves efficient.
 

 

Responsibilities:


  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships

  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing and predicting clients’ objectives

  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets

  • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals

  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after sales support

  • Support senior sales teams and sales representatives on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts

  • Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward

  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales opportunities

  • Collaborate with colleagues on new innovative lead generation ideas

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals

 

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field preferred

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role

  • Proven sales track record preferred

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely

  • Expert understanding of service and product, and ability to innovate new ways the product can serve customers

  • Innate drive to succeed and take initiative

  • Ability to learn new software quickly

  • Experience and knowledge of the MSP/ IT Managed Service
    Providers Community

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently virtually as well as being a productive team member, making outbound calls, writing emails, and LinkedIn connections every day

  • Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new connections with prospects

  • Have experience using LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and HubSpot are a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities

  • Good English communication skills, both written and oral
