Adult High School Credit Diploma Teacher: Mathematics
Reports to: Director of Adult Education
Part-time position, two evenings per week (Tuesday and Thursday), either 5:00 - 7:00 PM or 7:15 - 9:15 PM, Academic Calendar

Pay Rate: $32.45/hour, plus 45 minutes of paid planning per class

Job Description: EdAdvance is seeking a qualified instructor to teach a High School Credit Diploma Program Mathematics course for adult learners.
Major Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver remedial Mathematics instruction—either in person or online using Google Classroom—based on an agreed-upon ABE Mathematics curriculum
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to differentiate instruction
- Develop engaging and interactive lessons
- Use a variety of instruction strategies and activities
- Promote student independence and critical and creative thinking
- Sensitive to needs of adult learners
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Connecticut 7-12 #029 Mathematics certification
- Must participate in College & Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) training
- Must complete all state-mandated training required for working with students under the age of 18
