DESCRIPTION OF WORK:This position serves as the Lead Grants Accountant for Agency Finance & Operations. This position will provide counsel and technical assistance to System Office staff in the preparation of grant application budgets for grant proposals submitted to federal, state and private grant funders; determines fiscal and technical reporting requirements; monitors budgetary expenditures to ensure that funds are being expended in a timely and appropriate manner; ensures adherence to State and Federal guidelines and policies; provides grant information to divisional managers. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution with 18 semester-hours of accounting coursework; and two years of professional accounting/auditing experience in the preparation of interpretive or analytical accounting. financial statements and reports; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
